Dr. Tammy Watkins

Dr. Tammy Watkins grew up in Johnston, Iowa and graduated with a BA from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in biology with a bio-medical focus. After college, she completed a five-year academic course at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN where she received her Doctorate degree. She is currently board eligible in prenatal and pediatric care from the international Chiropractic Pediatric Association and has completed 180 hours of post-graduate work toward her diplomate in the same specialization, a designation that few hold in Iowa.

Dr. Tammy's passion is to serve pregnant women, children and families to equip them with the most genuine and complete care. She has had the honor of attending multiple births (medicated and non-medicated) as a labor support coach, and is pursuing the completion of her doula certification as a doula in Des Moines and the surrounding area.

She feels that as a chiropractic physician who specializes in prenatal care and labor support, women have available to them the best and most complete pregnancy support and birth coaching for the healthiest outcome for you and your baby.
